This year’s black-tie ball featured a parade of stars and dignitaries, a VIP awards ceremony and reception, a live and silent auction, elegant dining and live entertainment from platinum-selling artists Tony! Toni! Toné.

Started in 2013 and re-launched in 2015, the Mayor’s Masked Ball has become a “highly anticipated premier Washington social event and signature fundraiser for UNCF.” UNCF is the nation’s largest private scholarship provider to minority student groups. For over 70 years, the organization has played a powerful role in ensuring students nationwide are able to achieve higher education. Each year, UNCF recognizes and honors community leaders who support UNCF’s mission of investing in youth. To show her support, Ms. Adams attended the DC Chamber of Commerce’s special screening of the Academy Award nominated, “Hidden Figures” for more than 100 women and girls at Regal Gallery Place in Washington, DC. While at the event, Ms. Adams and Lisa Cohen, a D.C. based author and children’s right activist, shared their personal success stories and specified the importance of our youth in today’s society.

“You all are the future,” said Jan Adams. “It is very important for you to continue to dream and to never give up.”

SeaPort-E logoJUNE 30, 2016 -- JMA Solutions was one of the contractors selected for award of a SeaPort-Enhanced (SeaPort-E) indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity contract vehicle from the U. S. Navy. The SeaPort-E contracts support 22 functional service areas for the Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Air Systems Command, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Naval Supply Systems Command, Military Sealift Command, Naval Facilities Command, Strategic Systems Programs, Office of Naval Research, and the United States Marine Corps.
