During the month of September 2015, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded JMA Solutions three service support contracts totaling roughly $4.7 million under the eFAST contract vehicle.
- The first contract awarded will help support systems engineering efforts for the Performance Based Navigation (PBN) office. PBN is a component of the FAA’s NextGen Initiative, which integrates new and existing technologies to prepare the National Airspace System’s infrastructure for the future. According to the FAA, “PBN procedures are routes that use satellites and onboard equipment for navigation with greater accuracy.”
- The second contract supports the Aeronautical Information Services group whom are the FAA's civil aviation authority providing the foundations for flight.
- The final contract awarded helps support the FAA’s Knowledge Services Network (KSN) for the Quality, Integration & Executive Services within the FAA’s Aviation Safety branch. The FAA’s KSN is a collaborative internal website that is customizable and allows streamlined communications within the agency.
