Monday, November 16, 2015 kicked off the National Airspace System (NAS) System Perspective class held at JMA Solutions. The class is part of the Program Management curriculum and provides and overview of NAS key components including air traffic control, automation, surveillance, navigation, weather and communication.
This training is part of the AAP-330 Training Contract awarded to JMA Solutions; which is a three-year contract awarded July 31, 2015 worth $4.6 million. AAP is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) FAA office responsible for the FAA’s Acquisition Management System (AMS), overseeing FAA capital investments and other procurements, developing and implementing acquisition policy, and supporting FAA's mission by procuring systems, goods and services.
JMA Solutions will support the AAP Training Program by assisting with the strategic planning, development and instruction of courses for Systems Engineering, Cost Estimating and Acquisition Management.
JMA’s Deputy Chief Strategy Officer, Rose Merchant-Bennett, is the course instructor for the NAS System Perspective class. As a former Air Traffic Controller and FAA employee for 33 years, she brings extensive knowledge and expertise to the AAP Training Program.
