Reaching a new milestone, JMA Solutions recently received its Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Certification from the National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC). JMA Solutions is owned and operated by Jan Adams, a 24-year U.S. Air Force Service-Disabled Veteran.

By obtaining this third-party national certification, JMA will benefit with increased opportunities to compete for federal contracts and partnering opportunities with other corporations. The resulting outcome will enable tremendous business growth. The WOSB Certification Program allows contracting officers to set aside specific contracts for certified WOSBs. Thus, helping federal agencies achieve their statutory goal to award five percent of federal contracting funding to WOSBs.

The NWBOC, the first national certifier of Women Business Enterprises, is a Third Party Certifier for the Small Business Administration’s Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contract Program. They granted the certification based on the standards and procedures to verify ownership and qualification criteria. The NWBOC provides national certification for women-owned and veteran-owned companies. Certification ensures that a private, for-profit company is truly owned and operated by a woman.
