November 13, 2017 -- JMA Solutions is pleased to announce the addition of Anthony C. ("Tony") Tisdall as VP of Global Affairs and Aviation Solutions. Tisdall, with over 35 years of experience in numerous Air Traffic Control and Air Traffic Flow Management positions, previously served as Air Traffic Manager at the FAA’s, Air Traffic Control System Command Center (ATCSCC) in Warrenton, VA.
In his leadership role, he led the Command Center’s National Airspace System’s (NAS) Vision initiative in conjunction with industry. As the Acting Director of System Operations (now known as Director, NAS Operations) Tisdall had line authority over a diverse, highly technical team improving NAS operation efficiency and led communication with the Air Traffic Organization, Department of Transportation, military, and other organizations. Detailed to Civil Air Navigation Service Organization (CANSO), he facilitated and promoted interoperability of air traffic operations.
He served as Director of Legislative Affairs of the FAA Managers Association (FAAMA) from 2010 to 2015, then Vice President of FAAMA from 2015 to 2016, and has been a member of Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) since 2009.
Tisdall has been the recipient of the ATCA 2015 Chairman's Citation of Merit Award, Special Service Award, and many other awards and commendations. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA.
