Marcy Bettis currently serves as the Facility Security Officer (FSO) for JMA Solutions, which is a Top Secret cleared facility. As a JMA employee, Marcy supports the volunteer events for schools in the DC community which have been adopted by the company. An extensive 20-year background in program management, system engineering, and air traffic control system management has proven to be a successful career path.
Marcy manages FAA programs and supports development of processes and policies for consistent program management within JMA utilizing daily stand up meetings and requirements backlog. These agile techniques have been incorporated into the contracts being managed. This includes supporting FAA contracts; Airport Planning and Programming, T3 Portfolio Time Based Flow Management (TBFM), Terminal Flight Data Manager (TFDM), Traffic Flow Management System (TFMS) and Research and Development (R&D) Human Factors Program. She also oversees JMA’s contract supporting the NAS Defense Program (NDP).
Marcy understands the importance of education. To that end, she has served as an Adjunct Professor for 2 years at Carrol Community College by teaching Algebra and Pre-Algebra to entry college students. Marcy later continued her role as an Adjunct Professor for 2 years by teaching business courses to include, Human Resources and Organizational Behavior, at Saint Leo University. Marcy supported the National Society of Black Engineers Scholarship Program as recruiter with Lockheed Martin and representative of JMA Solutions.
Prior to joining JMA Solutions, Marcy provided engineering support and development to the FAA on various traffic control programs - ERAM, URET and ATOP at Lockheed Martin. Marcy served as the Vice President (2010) and President (2011) of the Lockheed Martin Leadership Association, (LMLA). In the LMLA, she organized and supported a scholarship program for students interested in STEM subjects. As a Lockheed employee, Marcy faithfully participated in bring your child to work.
Marcy holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Aviation; she is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), certified Lean Six Sigma Black belt, certified Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundations v3 and a Certified Manager by the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM).
