Washington, DC – June 2022 – JMA Solutions is proud to announce that the company has been recognized in the Washington Business Journal’s (WBJ) 2022 Corporate Diversity Index. Annually, this report highlights the region’s top organizations for their efforts in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within their business structures.
“I am extremely proud of this recognition,” said President Anthony “Tony” Tisdall. “Here at JMA, we make it our mission to foster an environment where all employees feel respected, valued, and encouraged to reach their fullest potential. That begins with hiring a diverse and talented team, one that embraces its differences to generate transformative solutions for our clients.”
This achievement marks the second consecutive year that JMA has been recognized in this category. “It is an honor to be listed in the Washington Business Journal’s Corporate Diversity Index for the second year in a row,” said Founder and CEO Jan Adams. “I founded JMA Solutions with the focus to provide employment opportunities for talented professionals of all backgrounds. Washington, DC – April 2022 – JMA Solutions is proud to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week with its Adopt-a-School Partners, Amidon-Bowen Elementary School, and Jefferson Academy, for the 8th year in a row. Annually, throughout the year, the JMA Team collaborates with the principals from both schools to host a variety of events, including Teacher Appreciation Week. This year, to show our appreciation, JMA Solutions will be surprising each teacher with a gift from Starbucks.
“Teacher Appreciation Week is a special time for our company,” said Founder and CEO Jan Adams. “In the wake of a global pandemic, educators have demonstrated their unparalleled commitment to providing students with continued support, both in-person and virtually. This week, we honor our nation’s educators for going the extra mile to create a lasting and positive impact on our children’s lives.”
Since its founding, JMA has made it a priority to support the students, teachers, staff, and families of both schools through volunteerism, career days, donations, and more. Throughout the pandemic, the JMA Team has gone above and beyond to assist both schools with the necessary educational tools and resources to foster an efficient environment for distanced learning. These efforts included providing meals to families in need through Project Giveback’s Thanksgiving Food Distribution, donating resources towards literacy programs, sponsoring lunches for student retreats, and more.
“JMA’s impact through the Adopt-a-School program could not have been possible without the support of our team and community partners,” said Marketing and Communications Lead Iman Brown. “Our relationship with Amidon and Jefferson has allowed for the company to continue its mission – to make a difference within the communities we serve.”
In addition to being a corporate partner of the DC Adopt-A-School program, JMA supports a variety of Southwest DC-based organizations including the Southwest Neighborhood Task Force Association, the AARP Southwest DC Chapter, the DAV, and the Thelma D. Jones Breast Cancer Fund. To read more about JMA Solutions’ charitable efforts, visit: https://www.jma-solutions.com/news-events/jma-gives-back-during-covid-19.

Washington, DC will receive $3 billion in funding over a five-year span and enable the task force to create and manage equitable and sustainable projects that strengthen the city’s architecture.
In addition to District agencies and external partners, the DC Build Back Better Task Force includes key individuals who have invaluable expertise from the following groups: The Environment and Resilience Subcommittee, the Transportation Innovation Subcommittee, the Workforce Capacity Building Subcommittee, and the Administration, Compliance, and Procurement Subcommittee.
