Washington, DC – June 15, 2020 – On June 15h, the Thelma D. Jones Breast Cancer Fund (TDJBCF) appointed JMA Solutions’ President and CEO Jan Adams as an Honorary Board Member to its Board of Directors. As an Honorary Board Member, Ms. Adams will play a key role in the advancement and development of breast cancer research to ultimately, achieve the TDJBCF’s mission and vision of a breast cancer-free world. This honorary appointment was detailed in the August 2020 edition of The Southwester.

As a retired United States Air Force Chief Master Sergeant and private sector business owner, Ms. Adams has decades of experience in leadership roles and on charitable boards that directly affect the well-being of youth and the upliftment of communities. In addition to being a board member of the TDJBCF, Ms. Adams serves as a board member for former Washington Redskins Corner Back, Josh Norman’s Starz24 charity organization, the Mamie Mallory Education and Scholarship Foundation, and the African American Civil War Memorial Foundation. She is a member of the Air Traffic Control Association, the DC Chamber of Commerce, the Nominating Committee for the Arena Stage Theater’s Board of Directors, and a corporate partner of the D.C. Adopt-a-School program. In February, Ms. Adams was reappointed by the Mayor of D.C. to serve as a trustee on the District of Columbia’s Retirement Board.
Ms. Adams makes it a priority to not only break barriers in the aviation industry but to also make an everlasting impact in the community. Each year, under Ms. Adams’ leadership, JMA donates approximately 3-5% of its net profit to charities that its employees support. In 2019 alone, JMA contributed to over 30 charitable organizations.
